NanoXplore announces their new Head of R&D Suzie Marin

NanoXplore keeps pushing forward in the FPGA market and is today very proud to announce the nomination of Suzie Marin as their new Head of R&D, starting from the 26th of February 2024. With a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in the semiconductor industry, Ms. Marin is the ideal choice to help steer NanoXplore towards new heights.

While welcoming Ms. Marin to NanoXplore, Alp Kilic, CTO, said: “We are jubilant to have her on board. She is a perfect match for our ambitions in research and development. Together, we’ll reach the next level in our innovation capabilities.”

Speaking on her appointment, Ms. Marin said: “I am thrilled to be part of the NanoXplore leadership team as Head of R&D, and contribute to the company’s technology roadmap and evolution towards world class European SoC and standard FPGA”

After 10 years at Qualcomm in both leadership and technical positions, as well as a strong presence in the electronics market in highly profile companies such as STMicroelectronics, ST-Ericsson and Arteris, she’s the perfect fit for NanoXplore.

Just last year, NanoXplore released a brand new FPGA, the ULTRA300, and finalized a partnership with Thales Alenia Space. As NanoXplore is gaining  traction in the industry, Ms. Marin will be able to bring her skills and knowledge onboard to accelerate the process. She will spearhead the development of highly performant new products at the company, as well as give a new impulse to the improvements of NanoXplore’s development tools.

Embedded Systems

Bridging the gap between silicon and software, the Embedded Systems team designs the low-level tools that make NanoXplore’s FPGAs truly usable and powerful.

Their core mission : developing the main SDK (Software Development Kit), firmware, and all embedded components that enable seamless configuration, control, and integration of our devices. From bootloaders and drivers to board support packages and diagnostic tools, they ensure our chips speak the right language whether on a satellite, in a defense system, or in a test environment. Their work is foundational : without it, nothing runs.

What sets them apart is their ability to think system-wide. They work closely with hardware teams and application engineers, adapt to evolving specs, and support real-world use cases with reliability and reactivity.

They’re not just writing code : they’re building the ecosystem around our FPGAs.

Driven by curiosity and precision, it’s a team where autonomy meets collaboration, and where each line of code contributes to something bigger : making advanced microelectronics accessible and operational for the most demanding applications.
