Are you driven by innovation and security excellence?

Become our next Security Architect and contribute to the development of robust security architectures for our SoC, FPGA and ASIC design, from concept and RTL to firmware, validation and certification.

YOUR MISSION

Security Architecture & Assurance

  • Define the end-to-end security architecture of NX devices: Hardware Root of Trust, secure boot, cryptographic IPs, key management, anti-tamper, bitstream confidentiality.
  • Ensure traceability of security requirements across design, verification, manufacturing, and validation phases.
  • Design and support the implementation of radiation-hardened and fault-resilient security mechanisms for space environments.

Risk Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment & Certification

  • Conduct threat modelling and security risk analyses in line with applicable Space and Defense standards.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and hardware penetration tests; coordinate corrective actions and design improvements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of certification packages and security assurance documentation (Common Criteria EAL4+ or higher).

Supply Chain, External Interfaces & Technology Watch

  • Ensure supply chain security and configuration control: IP integrity verification, firmware signing, interfaces with trusted foundries.
  • Interface with partners, government agencies, and European institutions on all system security matters.
  • Monitor emerging threats and developments in post-quantum cryptography; maintain an active technology watch.
  • Contribute to shaping the NanoXplore security roadmap and technical positioning toward customers and institutions.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Analytical mindset and rigour to approach security in a systemic way, from component level to system level.

  • Autonomy and initiative to lead cross-functional security topics in a complex R&D environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to varied audiences (R&D teams, management, customers, agencies).
  • Intellectual curiosity and ongoing awareness of evolving threats, security standards, and cryptographic techniques.
  • Team spirit and ease in a multicultural, multi-stakeholder environment (partners, government agencies, foundries).
  • Fluent English required, both written and spoken, for interactions with European agencies and international partners.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Formation

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Microelectronics, Embedded Systems Security, Cryptography, or a related field.

Expérience

  • 5+ years of confirmed experience in hardware/system security architecture or engineering, ideally in Space, Defense, or Aeronautics.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware security mechanisms: Root of Trust, secure boot, key management, anti-tamper.

Compétences techniques

  • Strong command of cryptographic concepts: symmetric/asymmetric algorithms, PKI, key management, secure protocols.
  • Knowledge of applicable security standards: Common Criteria (EAL4+), FIPS 140-2/3, DO-326A, ECSS or equivalent.
  • RTL design experience (VHDL/Verilog) and understanding of ASIC/FPGA flows (synthesis, verification, place & route).
  • Proficiency in threat modelling methodologies (STRIDE, TARA or equivalent) and hardware penetration testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiation-hardening constraints for space environments: fault tolerance, SEU/SEL mitigation.
  • A national security clearance or experience in classified environments would be a plus.

Embedded Systems

Bridging the gap between silicon and software, the Embedded Systems team designs the low-level tools that make NanoXplore’s FPGAs truly usable and powerful.

Their core mission : developing the main SDK (Software Development Kit), firmware, and all embedded components that enable seamless configuration, control, and integration of our devices. From bootloaders and drivers to board support packages and diagnostic tools, they ensure our chips speak the right language whether on a satellite, in a defense system, or in a test environment. Their work is foundational : without it, nothing runs.

What sets them apart is their ability to think system-wide. They work closely with hardware teams and application engineers, adapt to evolving specs, and support real-world use cases with reliability and reactivity.

They’re not just writing code : they’re building the ecosystem around our FPGAs.

Driven by curiosity and precision, it’s a team where autonomy meets collaboration, and where each line of code contributes to something bigger : making advanced microelectronics accessible and operational for the most demanding applications.
